I finally got my project done involving the interface of the "Mr Pecker
Pulser" to the Yaesu FT-450D HF Transceiver.
The Yaesu uses the RJ-45 Modular Connector, so I interfaced to the rear
of the FT-450D. This connector requires a 6 Pin Mini Din male plug.
To use the pulser, you must select Radio Menu "D Type" to User-L
or User-U
"Packet Mode"
The Mode Switch must be changed to "DATA" mode to use the Pulser. After
tuning your Amplifier, change Mode back to USB or LSB etc. The 5
K pot is for adjustment of the Pulser audio level to the FT-450D.
I find that using the Mr Pecker Pulser
saved a lot of wear and tear on the amplifier tubes. I use them on all
my amplifiers.
